Buesing Corp: In Honor of America’s Veterans

civil engineering contractor

Buesing Corp, a leading civil engineering contractor in Arizona, would like to express our respect and appreciation for all the men and women who served our country. God bless our veterans!

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” John F. Kennedy.

The History of Veterans Day

Veterans Day, formerly known as “Armistice Day,” occurs annually on November 11 in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, November 11 of that year is considered the end of “the war to end all wars,” World War I.

Twenty years later, in 1938, Veterans Day became a national holiday celebrating all American veterans who honorably served the United States. It is a way for Americans to express their gratitude to both living veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Traditional celebrations include parades and memorial services.
