Project Description

The Phoenix Crime Laboratory Building and below grade garage was proposed by the City of Phoenix in 2005, and built by Gilbane, as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Durrant was the architect. The project is located immediately west of the towering Sandra Day O'Conner Federal Courthouse. The project was budgeted at $34.8mil and includes 104,000 square feet of office, 58,000 sf of underground parking garage. Buesing Corp was subcontracted by Gilbane to perform the surface demolition and removals, mass excavation and export of soil, shoring and underpinning, and wall backfill.
