Project Description

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP), formerly known as the Good Samaritan Hospital with the iconic power architecture, launched major expansion project in late summer 2015. This project planned by Banner Health and designed by HKS Inc. will include a new 16 story patient tower that is 312 private rooms and 650,000 sf total in size. This project also includes a new emergency department, helipad, generator room, basement expansion, reconfigured parking lots, etc. The project also included three separate basements nestled within the existing structures. This $400 million dollar mega project is expected to open in December of 2019. Buesing Corp was retained by DPR to perform the technical basement excavation, shoring, underpinning, shotcrete finish walls, and parking lot grading & paving.

  • 24,000 cubic yards of import and site and wall backfill
  • 12,700 square feet of shoring/underpinning
