Butterfield Landfill Cell 15A

Named in honor of the Butterfield Overland StageCoach Route that crossed through Maricopa in the late 1800’s, cell 15A of the Butterfield project consisted of Earthwork/Mass Excavation, Liner Operations Cover, General Sitework, Leachate Collection and Stormwater Control. Team Buesing geared up to move almost 2 million cubic yards (3.4 Million Tons) of excavation in just over 65 working days. We provided a subgrade for the liner system, a leachate collection system, and then covered the new liner with a protective soil operations layer.
